On one hand, the Vighneshwar Temple tells the tale of Lord Ganesha as a remover of all the obstacle and on the other hand the story of Goddess Parvati performing great penance to beget Ganesha as her son unfolds at the Lenyadri temple that stands tall among the twenty-eight other caves. Visit the Shivneri Fort that is the birthplace of the great Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Go for Harishchandra Gad fort Trek if you want to test your trekking skills. It’s an 80-degree climb on a concave cliff and this climb is worth the pain one’s you see the view yourself. You may also try the “Famous Four” hills, that is, the Jivdhan, Chavand, Hadsar and Naneghat that are known for the beautiful trekking route.
