This year, mango growers and enthusiasts from all over the country will come together again for a series of festivals that are sure to bring fun and delight to fruit lovers. The International Mango Festival is an annual event which started in 1988 with the goal of increasing people’s appreciation of mangoes. The country’s biggest mango festival features over 550 varieties of mangoes, including rare and luxurious ones. These varieties are displayed and are available for sampling. Various mango products such as jams, jellies, pickles, juices, and canned fruits can also be found in the festival grounds.
Adding to the colorful event are programs and recreational activities such as a mango eating competition, mango carving demonstrations, mango recipe demonstrations, mango slogan writing, a magic show, and a mango quiz bee. There will also be cultural performances and other fun gimmicks to entertain you as you go through rows and rows of mango goodness.

Organized by the Directorate of Agriculture and scheduled alongside the Konkan Fruit Fest, the Goa Mango Festival aims to showcase local mango produce and support local farmers. Every year, the search for the best mango variant takes place in the festival, with cultivators proudly submitting entries of their tastiest produce. There will also be entertaining events like mango carving demonstrations and various games for children. Something unique about the Goa Mango Festival is that it satisfies not only the visitors’ taste buds but also their minds. Local farmers share their knowledge on proper mango cultivation and production and the latest farming technology through a series of demonstrations, seminars, and workshops.

Aside from the fresh mangoes, visitors can also have a taste of and purchase a wide selection of mango delicacies prepared by locals.
