If you are looking for a fantastic initiative to expose the urban community to these lost tribal cultures and rural lifestyles of our state, the Tarpa agro eco-tourism centre is the place for you. The name ‘Tarpa’ is derived from a beautiful musical instrument used by the local tribal community called ‘Warli’, famous for their unique art form known as Warli painting. Once an eroded and barren piece of land has now been converted into a lush green fertile and cultivated area. The objective of this farm is to offer sustainable organic agricultural practices, rich tribal culture, and rural life. This experience would be incomplete without fun activities such as a tour across the farm, some adventure activities coupled with some unique opportunities such as learning some rural skills like mat and basket weaving, coconut peeling, etc. along with an opportunity to buy some souvenirs such as T-shirts with Warli painting and canvas panels. So book a fantastic destination that offers a fun yet learning experience at one of the best agro eco-tourism centres in northern Konkan.
