Have you ever wondered why India was known as the ‘Golden Bird’ in ancient times? Because we have always had an incredibly rich legacy of agricultural heritage. What if you could witness this legacy with your loved ones? Well, look no further because we bring you Deshmukh agro-tourism centre, wherein the Deshmukh family has been farming the land for several years. Deshmukh Farms as an agro-tourism centre was recently started with the aim of sharing this legacy with the urban masses. The Deshmukh family of Karav Taluka, Ambarnath District in Thane are in possession of 100 to 150 acres of lush green farms where they have been farming numerous varieties of pulses, vegetables, and fruits. But the most unique process is making the mustard oil from mustard crops grown in the farms. The aim was to showcase this agricultural heritage with the young generation and share their knowledge about age-old farming practices and how it has evolved over the years. You can explore their authentic family heirlooms, take up a tool, and learn an ancient farming technique and enjoy some of the mouth-watering Maharashtrian delicacies made through secret family recipes
